Accounts that are placed with the legal department are initially screened to identify issues involved as follows:

Verify all lien documents are properly filed with the appropriate entity

Participate effectively in all settlement negotiations to provide maximum recoveries for clients

Draft and file proper claim documents in estate cases
The legal department also serves as the compliance department to ensure all collection activity complies with both federal and state laws.

Ensures all collection staff are educated on the requirements of the FDCPA and that all passed the mandatory FDCPA exam

Give seminars to all employees on FDCPA and state collection laws
